Dress Code : It is compulsory for students to wear T-shirts, bags and hoodies (in winter season) provided by the Institute. The Institute will provide two T-shirts, one hoodie and one bag free of cost as part of the Welcome Kit along with other accessories. Any more T-shirts or hoodies, if required by a student, need to be purchased separately. Further, the bottom wear should be modest, e.g., jeans, trousers, long skirts etc. Bottom wear that are strictly prohibited include anything above knee-length, anything that is ripped, anything having obscene graffiti/content, anything translucent or anything as perceived by the Institute to be inappropriate.

 

ID Cards : Students must carry Singularity Educators ID cards at all times when inside the Institute’s premises. Students will not be allowed to appear for tests without showing their ID cards.

 

Behaviour : The students are expected to maintain the decorum of the class and not involve in misbehaviour of any kind, either in action or verbally. Cases of indiscipline/bullying/cheating in tests and exams in the Institute will be strictly dealt with. The ID cards of such students will be punched and their parents will be informed. Five punches on a student’s ID card will result in the expulsion of the concerned student from the Institute. Note that, in case of serious offences, multiple punches on the ID card will be registered or the student may be expelled immediately. In case, any student(s) causes any damage to the Institute property, he/she will be liable to pay the due monetary compensation as per the expenses incurred by the Institute.

 

Attendance : It is expected that students attend all the classes regularly and diligently as per the Class Schedule, unless in case of medical emergency/personal obligations, as substantiated by a letter from the parents and/or a medical certificate. Note that it is compulsory to provide a medical certificate from a registered medical practitioner in case of leave/absence of more than 3 working days. Further, it is mandatory to appear for all the tests conducted by the Institute (within or outside of the Class Schedule). Serious action will be taken against students found to be skipping tests or bunking classes irresponsibly. This may lead to punching of ID card, intimation to parents and any other action as deemed necessary by the Institute.

 

Homework Submission : All tests, assignments, RPS (Revision Problem Sheets) etc. should be submitted on time after getting duly signed by parents. Late submissions will be dealt with strictly and parents will be informed in such cases.

 

Usage of Mobile Phones and Electronic Gadgets : The use of mobile phones and any electronic devices during classes and tests is strictly prohibited. The phones should be either put on silent mode or switched off inside the Institute premises. Students found not adhering to the same would face serious consequences including but not limited to confiscation of mobile phones/electronic gadgets. Students are allowed to bring iPads / tablets specifically to take digital notes or showing homework in class; however, students should bring these gadgets at their own risk and the institute will not be responsible for any loss/theft/damage incurred.
