While JEE Main tests deep conceptual application with negative marking, MHT-CET is a pure speed-and-accuracy test with no negative marking. CET relies heavily on the Maharashtra State Board syllabus, dedicating 80% weightage to Class 12 topics and 20% to Class 11.

Students targeting engineering in Maharashtra often prepare for both exams, but the strategies required are completely different.
